AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The aim of the course is to provide students with the necessary tools to study human rights from a legal point of view, with specific reference to the European Union's protection system. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Teaching aims: - knowledge of the system of protection of fundamental rights in the EU; - knowledge of the scope, operation and content of the Charter of Fundamental Rights; - knowledge of the relationship between the EU's system of protection and ECHR and national systems; - ability to re-elaborate the principles and rules under consideration and to apply such knowledge to actual cases; - ability to interpret and systematically construe the legal rules. The results can then be further verified during the oral examination. Non attending students: The exam is oral and consists of a colloquium aimed at ascertaining students' knowledge of the topics of the program, their comprehension, the ability re-elaborate the topics discussed.
