The aim of the course is to give a methodology for the design of a control law for multivariable linear time invariant systems (MIMO LTI systems)
The course covers the following topics
The students at the end of the course will be capable to tackle control/regulation problems for multivariable linear systems.
Fundamentals of Linear System Theory and Classical Control Theory.
The contents of this module are essentially methodological and lectures will be given mainly in remote mode. Some case studies will be proposed to the students to be solved on a voluntary basis.
1-Basics on modeling and analysis of Linear Multivariable Systems.
2-Dynamic properties assignment and stabilization.
3-State reconstruction from input-output measurements.
4-Formulation of feedback control problems. Alternative approaches for control system synthesis.
5-Formulation and solution of optimal control problems.
