The course –in English – is composed by two parts: The law of international organizations, and by International law of armed conflicts.
The course aims to deepen the principles, the organs, the functions and the acts of the most important international organisations, in particular the United Nations; the relevant rules on international armed conflicts (the law of war; international humanitarian law), and of international criminal law for the commission of crimina iuris gentium.
Ricevimento: Students can talk with the professor every Monday from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. at Department of Political Sciences, Albergo dei Poveri, Central Tower, third floor. For a better organizations of the meetings, students are kindly invited to write in advance the address: laura.carpaneto@unige.it. During the COVID-19 emergency, meetings will take place on the online platform Teams (channel code: 3h0wr34). The Teams channel could be used also for lessons and/or exams in case of weather alert.
Ricevimento: DURING CLASS TERMS: Before and after single lectures, upon request of interested students (on the same teams channel where classes are given, or on parallel private calls upon requests). DURING THE YEAR, WHEN NO CLASS IS SCHEDULED - Genoa: Wednesday, from 10.00-12.00, without need for an appointment, at the offices at Alebrgo dei Poveri building (for meeting in different days or different hours, please make an appointment by email). - Imperia: Before and after classes and oral exams. During the COVID-19 emergency, subject to previous email appointment, office hours shall take place in Teams (code t98lwwd). OFFICE HOURS WILL BE SUSPENDED from December 20 to January 7th; and from 10 to 23th August.
