From the gastroenterological point of view, this course will deal with all digestive diseases, which represent an important, widespread, fundamental group of disorders due to secretive-motor disfunctions, infections, chronic inflammation, genetic alterations and oncological problems
This course has the objective to teach the general aspects of the various diseases of the digestive tract, including liver and pancreas. The student must know the bases for doing a correct diagnostic algorythm and a right prognosis of the digestive disorders. Some elements of therapy wiil be also given.
The student will know the essential features on the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnostic approach and prognosis of the various digestive, epatological and pancreatological diseases. Gastroenterologista will speak about esophageal, gastroduodenal and intestinal disorders together with hepatic and pancreatic diseases.
The course will be based on frontal lessons and periods of practical teaching in small groups in the ward of the gastroenterology and hepatology unit of our hospital during 15 days each year
The student will learn the epidemiology, pathophysiology, pathology, clinical presentation, diagnosis and prognosis of digestive disorders, including also heaptic and pancreatic diseases. Some elements of therapy will be also given.
