OVERVIEW

This is the last of three courses on Human Anatomy.

The topics are: the Central Nervous System (CNS), the Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) and the Endocrine System.

The course will be organised following a taxonomic order, due to the localisation of these systems throughout the entire body. The topics of the course will help the student to operate a synthesis of all anatomical information.

AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The lectures of Human Anatomy III course aim to provide students with adequate knowledge on the Nervous and Endocrine Systems organisation, that allows them to understand their normal physiology and the pathologies that may arise from the impairment of their normal function. The goal of the lectures is to provide the knowledge of the different structures of the Nervous System and of the Endocrine System, and the understanding of how they are interconnected for a correct functioning. The understanding of the issues discussed during the lectures should allow the students to deepen specific issues autonomously.

TEACHING METHODS

The teaching activity is organised in lectures. During these lectures all the issues the student has to know for the final exam will be explained and discussed with the help of visual aids.
