OVERVIEW

The course aims to understand the organization and structure of the human body in its various components, in an overall vision that integrates organs, apparatus and systems. It uses systematic, topographic or instrumental approaches to capturing images at different macro and microscopic resolution levels to search for functional activities in relation to specific developments in biomedical sciences.

AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students will Know the body's structural organization with its major anatomical-clinical applications, from the macroscopic to the microscopic level. They will recognize the essential morphological characteristics of systems, apparatus and organs of the human body as well as their major morpho-functional correlates.

At the end of the course students will have developed the ability to recognize the organ / apparatus in the regional context and to recognize the anatomical specimens by microscope.

TEACHING METHODS

Teaching is mainly composed of frontal lessons and a part of a theoretical / practical laboratory of microscopic anatomy.

The frontal lessons will be held by the following professors: Prof. E. Ciccone, Prof. D. Saverino, Prof. C. Tacchetti and Prof. Zicca (contract professor).

Laboratory activities will be held by Prof. D. Zarcone.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT
