AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course, the trainee must be able to:

1. know what are the costs associated with an architectural restoration project;

2. identify the main economic variables that determine the formation of the costs of the restoration;

3. select the appropriate estimation methods for forecasting the cost of the restoration project;

4. correctly apply the estimation methods for forecasting the costs of the restoration project, with particular reference to the analytical evaluation (bill of quantities).

TEACHING METHODS

The didactic path is developed according to three levels:

"Frontal" lessons in the classroom and / or on the "Teams" Platform of the School of Specialization - 2nd year;
Thematic insights through the consultation of materials made available online (on Aulaweb and on the Teams platform of the School of Specialization) by the teacher;
Practical activity through the elaboration of an Estimated Metric Calculation of a restoration project.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The course is divided into two parts.

The first provides the theoretical tools for estimating the cost of an architectural restoration.

The second, of an applicative nature, develops the theme of estimating the cost of a restoration intervention by drawing up an analytical estimate.

FIRST PART

- Meaning of evaluation and estimate;

- Types of construction costs: construction cost - production cost - overall cost;

- Methodologies for estimating the cost of a restoration project: the bill of quantities.

SECOND PART

- Estimate of the cost of carrying out a restoration on a building assigned as a case study by the School of Specialization.
