This Activity addresses Start Up companies as entrepreneurial ventures growing in innovation ecosystems and enabled by technological transfer processes.
The Activity aims at focusing Start Ups as far as their features, success factors and drivers of their spread are concerned.
Thanks to this Activity the students are expected to become familiar and informed about Start Up companies, Start Up ecosystems, as well as ready to communicate with this ecosystem's players.
They will be able to recognize the Start Ups peculiar problems, the more convenient funding sources, their main risk and failure factors, the incentive and support systems available for them, the typical management tools.
The students are expected to handle the basic concepts and models about entrepreneurship, firms, business strategy, finance, financial statements.
Presentations by teachers, professionals and entrepreneurs. Group works.
The Activity will address the following topics:
- innovation ecosystems
- start up companies and spin offs features
- Italian regulations about innovative start up
- incubators and business competitions for start up creation and growth
- financial needs and financing for start up
- business model and business model "canvass"
- business plan and planning
Readings and bibliography will be suggested in progress.
Readings and bibliography for not attending students will be provided at the start of the Activity.
