This course provides students with the necessary knowledge to represent and characterize the geometry of a vessel's hull and propeller, as well as being able to execute hull geometry calculations.
This course is divided into two main sections: Section one (theory) This section aims to define a hull's dimensions and provides students with the necessary theoretical and numerical knowledge to effectively evaluate, through direct calculations, the main geometrical data (volumes, areas, etc.) in order to correctly determine the hull. Section two (practice) In this section, students will use license-free software to model and graphically represent the hull. The two sections of the course aim to work together to effectively equip students with the fundamental notions of naval architecture, preparing them for the subsequent courses of naval and nautical design.
