This module aims to provide students with the basic knowledge and tools in preparation for the other courses, which require mathematical notions and methods.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

- Calculating mathematical expressions with complex numbers.
- Roots of complex numbers.
- Polynomial roots and factorization.
- Matrix calculations and linear transformations.
- Solving systems of linear equations.
- Vector operations.
- Solving geometrical problems by using vectors, matrixes, Cartesian coordinates and algebraic equations.
- Recognition and canonical form of conics.
