The module of Mathematical Methods provides basic knowledge on the fields of dynamic optimization and nonlinear programming. Moreover, it focuses on the main mathematical methods used to describe real-world phenomena through partial differential equations.
In the Operations Research module a set of mathematical models and methods for solving decision problems is studied. The purpose of this module is to provide the students with competences in using a set of models for problem solving. In particular, the module mainly considers optimization problems faced by mathematical programming techniques and problems on graph and networks.
