The first module of the Comparative Public Law course aims to highlight the similarities and differences between civil and common law systems. Furthermore, specific attention will be given to the process of osmosis between national constitutional law and the sources of supranational integration. Specific topics will be studied: The method in comparative public law Constitutional justice Form of State Protection of rights Individual study, attendance, and participation in the proposed training activities will enable students to: understand the main characteristics of the constitutional systems of the European and North American regions; identify the consequences of supranational integration processes; develop learning skills that allow for independent exploration of the main topics covered during the course; understand the main dynamics of the circulation of institutions and interpretation techniques; acquire a wealth of analytical and operational tools that will allow for the improvement of knowledge of national and supranational jurisprudence; Read and critically examine, with independent judgment, scholarly articles in the field of comparative public law; Express yourself using appropriate technical legal language.
