The course illustrates the theoretical foundations of volleyball and offers insights into methodology and didactics useful for initial orientation in the various fields of professional intervention. Through alternating theoretical moments and practical experiences, the general problems that students will face in teaching the game of volleyball from the youth level onward are presented.
Know the origin of the game and its evolution over time. Know the technical regulations. Know the meaning of analytical, synthetic and global exercise. Know the fundamental individual techniques of the game and the methodologies for teaching them. To know the drills and teaching progressions aimed at technical-tactical learning of basic fundamentals and to acquire simple notions of the main systems of volleyball play. To be informed about modern systems of statistical detection and technical-tactical analysis used in the game of volleyball. Acquire the specific vocabulary of the discipline.
Bring 100% of the trainees to know the technical rules, understand the meaning of analytical and global exercise, be able to plan and schedule an instructional progression related to each fundamental of the game, carry out instructional interventions and correct some technical skills of volleyball. Lead the trainees to know the techniques of individual and team fundamentals and the main systems of play and be able to practically demonstrate some technical skills of volleyball. Achievement (based on the exam grade) of the Trainee Coach card with FIPAV.
Attendance at lectures compulsory. The treatment of specific topics in the subject requires sufficiently thorough knowledge of teaching methodology, sports pedagogy, didactics, sports training methodology.
Theoretical frontal lessons with the aid of audiovisuals and practical lessons in the gym.
Students with Specific Learning Disorders (S.L.D.), or with any special needs, shall reach out to the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liase and arrange the specific teaching mothods and ensure proper achievement of the learning aims and outcomes.
