What it is

To be admitted to the Master’s Degree Final Examination, students must have obtained all the foreseen credits, except those related to the final examination itself.

The Master’s Degree final examination consists in a discussion in English language of an activity carried out by the student under the guidance of one or more supervisors, of which at least one must be a member of the Degree Program Board and teacher of a teaching unit offered by the Degree Programme, and the control of a co-supervisor.

The activity consists in: (i) carrying out independently a significant project, of theoretical, computational, or experimental value; (ii) producing a clear and effective document in English describing the project and the results obtained.

The discussion is an examination with questions and evaluation by the committee and takes place in the period between the submission of the final project and the proclamation, on a date to be determined according to the commitees's commitments and the number of candidates.

The official dates correspond to the proclamation, i.e. the official conclusion of the course of study, which could be on a different day from the discussion with the awarding of the degree and the communication of the grade achieved.
