Introducing the bases for the study and understanding of the physical characters of the Earth’s interior and of the main geodynamical internal processes. Supplying the methodological fundamentals of the main active and passive geophysical techniques that are applied to the environmental exploration and protection (gravimetric, magnetic, geo-electromagnetic seismic and radiometric method).
The course presents the main endogenous geological processes through a physical approach and introduces the most widely used geophysical methodologies for the study, monitoring, forecasting and management of natural and anthropogenic risks related to the Solid Earth
"Students who have valid certification of physical or learning disabilities on file with the University and who wish to discuss possible accommodations or other circumstances regarding lectures, coursework and exams, should speak both with the instructor and with Professor Sara Ferrando (sara.ferrando@unige.it), the Department’s disability liaison.”
