AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Understand the main indications and techniques in pediatric audiology.

  • Know the major diseases of the visual system, particularly those affecting individuals in developmental age.

  • Acquire basic knowledge of neuropsychiatric semiology in childhood and adolescence, and learn to classify the main movement disorders in pediatric age, in relation to possible pathological conditions.

  • Understand the principal neurological diseases of developmental age, particularly in relation to pediatric populations.

  • Acquire methodological tools for defining, analyzing, and categorizing mental disabilities and psychological distress in its various forms; describe the treatment of distress, disabilities, and related psychopathologies through different clinical methodologies and intervention techniques.

  • Acquire skills for managing the operator–patient relationship, particularly in the context of interacting with individuals who are multi-problematic and significantly different from oneself.
