Ecology has developed tools to understand, evaluate and manage biotic relationships and energy exchanges between living beings and inanimate matter.
It is essential to tackle the environmental issues that arise today in knowledge and know-how and can provide the city and territory project with fundamental elements of knowledge, evaluation and choice.
Modern urban planning was born as a response to the hygienic and functional problems of the growing city and has progressively addressed the multiple environmental factors that affect the balanced development of settlements and the well-being of the community.
Today Ecology and Urban Planning find complementarity in the design of the built space, in the governance of the territory, in the construction of shared choices by communities that consciously decide their own future.
The training course includes the integration of the two modules of Elements of Ecology and Urban Planning and Environment in order to instruct the future designer to consider and deal with the environmental implications of the territory, landscape and built space project.
