OVERVIEW

The course consists of a theoretical module and practical exercises in written and oral language.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course, the student will have acquired a high level of knowledge and skills in the analysis and manipulation of the language of various media in the French-speaking world, also thanks to the support of courses held by native French-speaking language assistants, aimed at practical language learning at a specialised level (analysis of the press and audiovisual media).

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Theoretical module: at the end of the course, the student will be able to:

know the theoretical bases of theatrical translation;
produce a theatrical translation;
reflect critically and self-assess their translation practice.

réaliser une traduction théâtrale ;

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Il modulo teorico avrà per oggetto la traduzione teatrale, che si inserisce nell'area della traduzione plurisemiotica. The general characteristics of this medium will be analysed and practical translation exercises will be carried out, taking into account the particularities of the genre.

The theoretical module is supported by practical exercises: see the page of the Francesistica section (https://lingue.unige.it/node/44).

The theoretical module will focus on theatrical translation, which forms part of the wider field of plurisemiotic translation. The general characteristics of this medium will be analysed and practical translation exercises will be carried out, taking into account the particularities of the genre.

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Preparation of a dossier at the end of the course based on the work done during the course. The final exam will consist of an oral commentary on the dossier presented.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The test for the theoretical module aims to ascertain the skills acquired by the students in the field of multi-semiotic translation. The dossier to be presented at the end of the course will consist of a commentary on a translated segment, while the oral interview will aim to test the candidate's ability to reflect on his/her own translation practice.

Registration for the Aulaweb space is compulsory for both attending and non-attending students. Registration for examinations is compulsory and must be carried out no later than 7 working days before the exam (unless otherwise stated).
