OVERVIEW

il corso inquadra il comportamento statico e dinamico della nave aggiungendo ulteriori competenze rispetto alle conoscenze del percorso triennale con particolare attenzione a problemi complessi e nella prospettiva progettuale

the course provides knowledge about the static and dynamic behaviour of the ship, adding further skills and competences in comparison to the BSc level with specific reference to complex problems and to the ship design process

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The Naval Architecture teaching unit focuses on the fundamental principles of ship statics and dynamics, aiming to create professionals capable of tackling advanced problems in ship design and operational analysis. Main objectives deal with buoyancy, ship stability and analysis of equilibrium conditions in calm and rough seas, as well as in intact and damaged conditions, ship dynamics and seakeeping, evaluation of ship behavior in waves, and analysis of operational performance in real navigation conditions. By the end of the teaching unit, students will acquire the knowledge and problem-solving skills needed to support ship design processes and assess operational performance in real-world sailing conditions.
