The integrated teaching of Immunology and Biotech Drugs is divided into one module of Immunology (6 CFU) and three of Biotech Drugs (3 CFU). It aims to integrate the study of immunology and immunopathology with knowledge of the innovative techniques for the generation of biotechnological drugs that utilize components of the immune system itself or modulate its activity in the context of different pathological conditions.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

For the Immunology module, the exam consists of an oral test and takes place in the presence of the course teachers. The interview lasts approximately 30 minutes and covers the program taught in class. Through the discussion of different topics, the committee verifies the fulfillment of the expected learning outcomes. The mark obtained in this test is valid for one calendar year.

Students must pass the Immunology exam before taking the one of Biotech Drugs. For the three modules of Biotech Drugs (3 CFU in total), the exam consists of a written test with three open questions covering the topics of all three modules and lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes. To pass this test, students must obtain at least 18/30 in each module, otherwise they must repeat the whole test. The two tests (oral and written one) are scheduled in distinct/separate dates.

The final mark derives from the weighted mean of the marks obtained for each module and from an overall evaluation of the student. The mark 30/30 with honors will be assigned when the knowledge of the subject is excellent.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Verification of learning is carried out through the final exams, aimed at verifying the real acquisition by the student of the expected learning outcomes. For more detailed information, please refer to the teaching sheets of the single modules.
