The aim of the course is to deepen, in the light of theoretical knowledge, the functional evaluation methodologies through technical and practical activities.
At the end of the course, you will have to:
- To apply the various types of laboratory and field tests.
- To know how to monitor training and competition conduct in endurance sports.
- To assess the impact of strength, speed and agility training on sports performance.
- Analysing performance in cyclic and acyclic sports.
- To process data regarding functional assessment in sports performance.
The course consists in practical technical activities (ATP)
During the ATP, the notions seen in the classroom will be resumed and practical applications on these topics will be addressed.

The ATP does not provide a graded exam.
A minimum of 70% attendance is required to take the theory module exam.
The acquisition of the ATP CFU is linked to attendance and active participation in the practical lessons
Cases with a certified DSA, disability or other special educational needs are advised to contact both the Departmental contact person, Prof. Nicola Girtler, and the lecturer at the beginning of lessons in order to agree on teaching and examination methods that, while respecting the teaching objectives, take account of individual learning methods and provide suitable compensatory/exemptory tools recognised by the University DSA service.
