Types and classes of contracts (sale, lease, provision of services and works, mandate and agency, transportation, storage, surety, settlement, insurance, consumer contracts, subcontracting); civil liability and remedies for damages; other sources of obligations (administration of business of others, restitutions, unjust enrichment, unilateral promises, debt securities). Property law (in the Constitution, in the code, in special legislation); joint ownership, minor property rights, possession; family law; succession because of death.
More specifically, Mod. I aims to provide students with basic notions on the fundamental concepts of private law and of the firm in general (deeds, facts, people, relationships, assets) and on fundamental legal figures, such as obligations and contracts in general.
Attendance at lessons, individual study and participation in other training activities proposed during the course will allow the student to:
Understand and remember the regulatory provisions relating to the main institutions of civil law and the rules applicable in relationships between private individuals; Understand the structure and functioning of the private law system and be aware of the meaning and relevance of private law protection; Identify, interpret and apply the rules suitable for resolving concrete cases of conflicts between private individuals; Read and critically examine normative texts and scientific articles on civil law issues, texts of sentences pronounced by Courts of Merit, of Legitimacy or by the Constitutional Court relating to private law issues; Express oneself in appropriate technical legal language.
MOD I of the teaching is delivered with frontal lessons, for a total of 54 hours (equal to 9 CFU), during which the main theoretical notions of the Institutions of Private Law will be presented and analyzed, but in which some examples and practical cases taken from the most recent jurisprudence will also be proposed and discussed.

The exam will be held orally on the dates scheduled in the calendar. Specific exam methods for attending students will be communicated on aulaweb and in class.
The oral exam is normally divided into 3/4 questions: the first more general and the others of a more specific nature. In addition to knowledge of individual institutions, the student's ability to connect notions and reason about applicable cases and rules is appreciated.
DSA students who have communicated their needs are entitled to compensatory time ex l. 170 of 2010.
