The course in brief Presentation The Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance provides a multidisciplinary education centred on knowledge of economic and financial systems and the institutions that operate within them. The course is divided into two curricula: the general economics curriculum, which focuses on national and international economics, the environment, health and labour; the financial economics curriculum, which is oriented towards the world of finance and its players: intermediaries, financial market operators and sector supervisory bodies. Learning by doing In-company training placements in Italy and abroad are planned. Teaching is complemented by workshops and classroom testimonials by figures from the worlds of business and finance. Numerous academic cooperation agreements are in place with foreign universities for the purpose of study or internships.. Professional outlets With a degree in Economics and Finance/Economics and Business you can work in key professions in the economic sector, such as a financial/business analyst and consultant, and in the banking sector, as an economic journalist, officer and technician in complex organisations. You can work in production and business units and financial intermediation, in national and international economic and financial institutions, in public administration and in financial analysis bodies. The Economics and Business degree course trains professionals capable of understanding this complexity, through the study of the dynamics and players of the economic and financial system and its components: markets, intermediaries and financial instruments. The course is divided into: a first core of basic teaching (the same for all three-year degree courses in the Department of Economics), intended to provide a solid preparation in four disciplinary areas: economics, business, quantitative and law a second core of characterising and specialised courses, to provide a level of specialisation suitable for entering the world of work in a qualified manner or for continuing studies.
