The course aims to equip students with the essential knowledge for managing information obtained from the analysis and design phases of interventions on historic buildings. By participating in the planned learning activities, students will be able to: • Organize information from diagnostic surveys of a building; • Access data from municipal and regional geoportals; • Develop a georeferenced relational database within a GIS (Geographic Information System) environment for managing restoration project data; • Utilize GIS tools for georeferencing historical maps; • Use tools for on-site data collection; • Generate customized reports.
The course is mainly conducted in a lab format, with all students participating in practical exercises and the instructor delivering lectures ex cathedra.
