THE NAUTITECH New Generation PROJECT

In a context of profound transformation of the nautical sector, the NAUTITECH New
Generation project, (Interreg IT-FR Maritime Programme 2021-2027, https://interregmarittimo.
eu/web/nautitech), aims to structure and revitalise the nautical and naval sector in the
cross-border space.
The project promotes a shared vision of a sustainable, intelligent and inclusive nautical sector,
led by the lead partner Communauté d'Agglomération Cannes Pays de Lérins - CACPL and developed in
collaboration with partners: for Liguria, the University of Genoa - DICCA; for Corsica, the
Chambre de Métiers et de l'Artisanat Régionale de Corse; for Sardinia, the Province of Nuoro.
The objective is to combine the forces of public players, research centres and enterprises to face a double
challenge: to accompany the ecological and digital transition of pleasure boating, and, at the same time,
to consolidate a local industrial fabric made up mainly of micro and small enterprises,
often isolated and less visible than the main players in the sector.
NAUTITECH intends to foster the development of a more sustainable, accessible and
interconnected 'boating of the future' through the experimentation of new models and the integration of advanced technologies
such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), augmented reality and virtual reality.
In addition to the technological dimension, the project promotes a systemic vision of the supply chain, oriented
to the construction of a structured, resilient and competitive sector, capable of responding to the challenges
related to employment, training, research, tourist attractiveness and environmental protection
marine.
In this perspective, cross-border cooperation represents a key element for the creation
of a stable and lasting ecosystem, capable of generating synergies between territories, businesses and institutions,
contributing to the development of a Mediterranean nautical sector of excellence in the area of the Franco-Italian Riviera,
recognised internationally as one of the main poles of nautical tourism.
