OVERVIEW

Today, IT skills are an essential asset both in the workplace and in everyday life. This course introduces IT tools for managing, analyzing, and presenting data, as well as for communication. The goal is to develop students' critical awareness of the digital world by integrating theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to provide professional skills, developing proficiency in the use of information technology and communication tools. Topics covered include data management and analysis using spreadsheets, data and information presentation, and issues related to the use of communication technologies.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course, students will have acquired professional skills in using personal productivity applications, which they will apply at various stages of their education and subsequently in their professional careers.
Specifically, this course will equip them with skills in data management and analysis using spreadsheets and video presentations.

Informatica MOD. I course (CODE 55878)

TEACHING METHODS

The course is delivered primarily remotely, using the AulaWeb and Microsoft Teams platforms, and is complemented by introductory in-person lessons.

- Introduction to spreadsheets

- Data analysis and visualization using spreadsheets

- Introduction to video presentations

- Software supports for video presentations.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Written exam consisting of an online quiz with theoretical and applied questions.

There is the possibility of recognizing the ECDL Certification.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The exam consists of a test that includes theoretical and applied questions.

The theoretical questions are aimed at testing the knowledge acquired by students.

Application questions require a practical activity to provide the answer, thus assessing the skills developed. These questions have a similar format to the exercises students must complete to earn the Skills Badge, which is required to register for the exam.
