OVERVIEW

The purpose of the course is providing the students with a basic knowledge of Behavioural Finance, a recent research field interpreting the individuals choices under uncertainty, on the basis of the cognitive psychological processes, instead of the foundations of orthodox economic theory

The students are kindly requested to register in the section "Annunci", where all the communications concering the course will be included, so that you will receive automatically by mail any communication concerning the course.

The section "Annunci" will also contain additional teaching material that may be included in extra exam questions, so that the final mark will be given by the 30 points for the conventioanl questions plus 3-4 points given by "bonu" extra questions. 

 

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course is meant to enrich the students’ knowledges with some distinguishing features of the behaviour of financial investors under uncertainty, according to the Behavioural Finance approach, based on cognitive processes, that provides a fundamental skill to financial investors and financial managers of industrial or commercial enterprises.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The approach of Behavioural Finance will be analyzed by studying in detail some specific analytica features of extreme interest for financial investors an finance managers of industrial and commercial firms. 

PREREQUISITES

There are no specific prerequisites for the course.

TEACHING METHODS

The teaching methods consist of lectures, with discussions in the class, where the students may obtain extra "bonus" marks valid for the esam.

Written exam; no restrictions for exam resit, unless the student is found copying.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Written exam with open questions (in form of essays) on the subjects of the course.

FURTHER INFORMATION

No restrictions in repeting the exam, in case of insufficient result, unless the student is found copying during the written exam.

Office hours will take place during the period of lectures and will be communicated on AulaWeb Forum before the beginning of the courses. Changes will be communicated on the Aulaweb Forum.
