OVERVIEW

The course analyses the bulk shipping market from the point of view of business management.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course analyses the bulk shipping market under the points of view of demand, supply, business management, and economic-financial management.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The student should learn how to analyze the market dynamics and interpretate the way companies assume their management and operating decisions.

PREREQUISITES

Knowlege of the main models and techniques of business management.

TEACHING METHODS

Lectures in presence.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Analysis of the market (demand and supply), economic and financial aspects, business management, insurance management, bulk terminals.

RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY

For student wishing to study in English, ask to the Professor.

Otherwise the textbook is Gozzi A., Scarsi R, Bulk Shipping, Giappichelli Ed., Torino, 2012.

Oral assessment.

For students whishing to study on Enlish textbook, written assessment in English.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The exam will cover the entire program.

Students with disabilities, SLD or SEN
