In particular, the course deals with the description of the main functional groups and the mechanisms of the main reactions which will later be useful for learning the biochemical mechanisms. Furthermore, with the teaching of General Biology, attention is paid to some basic notions such as the study of the structure and functions of cells and of the fundamental mechanisms of the transmission of genetic information, to understand the general principles on which life is based. In this way we want to lay the foundations for the subsequent understanding, in a molecular key, of the complex processes that underlie the life of cells and living beings. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Applied Biology teaching must delve into the main aspects of the biological processes underlying the knowledge the student must possess for an optimal understanding of motor activities. Teaching Biochemical Propaedeutics gives students the basic knowledge of chemistry and Biochemical Propaedeutics, necessary for learning the main notions of Biochemistry in the second semester.
