The subject is aimed at developing simulations to manage a group of social workers and improve effective strategies to supervise their professional development

The course aims to pursue the following objectives:

  • Understand the meaning and functions of educational supervision
  • Develop reflective skills regarding educational practice
  • Be able to analyse complex situations
  • Be able to recognise relational, emotional, and institutional dynamics

    • Origins and development of supervision in educational services

    • Definitions and functions of professional supervision

    • Differences between supervision, coordination, tutoring, and mentoring

    • Models of individual and group supervision

    • Clinical, reflective, and organisational supervision

    • Techniques for observing and analysing practice

    • Case study, reflective journal and professional narrative, feedback and debriefing strategies

  3. Collaborative dynamics

    • Communication in educational settings

    • Working groups and interdisciplinarity

    • Conflict management and relational challenges

    • Educational leadership and coordination

    • Supervision and the development of an organisational climate

Oral exam
