CODE 118295 ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/2027 CREDITS 12 cfu anno 1 SCIENZE E CULTURE AGROALIMENTARI DEL MEDITERRANEO 11758 (L/GASTR R) - IMPERIA TEACHING LOCATION IMPERIA MODULES Questo insegnamento è composto da: ENVIRONMENTAL ECONOMICS OF FOOD PRODUCTION NOTIONS OF EUROPEAN UNION LAW NOTIONS OF PRIVATE AND AGRI-FOOD LAW FOOD SAFETY AND SUSTAINABILITY IN EU LAW TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The course aims to provide an overview of the main issues relating to legal and economic matters in the agri-food sector, with a focus on Italian private law and European Union law AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES General ability to understand the legal framework relating (i) to contracts and civil liability and (ii) to European Union law and the economic aspects of food production. Specific competences concerning (i) consumer law from both Italian and European perspectives, and (ii) the main legal aspects related to the agri‑food supply chain, including its safety and sustainability. Ability to identify the relevant regulatory framework and to solve legal problems related to the areas under consideration. Ability to identify and describe the different components of value of food products starting from an analysis of the production process. Ability to prepare a report assessing, with reference to ecosystem services, the economic consequences of pressures on ecosystems.
