OVERVIEW

The course aims to explore, from both historical and theoretical perspectives, the themes of otherness and dialogism, which together help to describe the human condition

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The teaching of Social Marginality and Dialogue is divided into two modules, History of Deviance and Marginality and Philosophy of Dialogue Communication. They develop in an autonomous but coherent manner with respect to each other, as they have in the positive concept of otherness a shared core. This will be explored by the former in order to reconstruct the history of negative con-ceptions of otherness, also by examining the marginalisation and criminalisation of the different, by the latter in order to understand the meaning of communication, investigating the relational or dialogical structure that is constitutive of the human person.
