OVERVIEW

Understanding the Ligurian rural landscape requires the ability to interpret it at multiple spatial and dimensional scales. The course offers a path of analysis of the characteristics of the Ligurian terraced landscape heritage, focusing on its historical aspects and productive potential in coherence with site vocations and local culture.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The student will acquire the ability to understand the typical characteristics of Ligurian terraced landscapes.

The student will acquire knowledge of Ligurian terraced systems, the main traditional and innovative crops, as well as related maintenance and management issues.

TEACHING METHODS

The content will be discussed in lectures. A case study exercise will give students the opportunity to better understand the illustrated theoretical aspects.
