OVERVIEW

This course provides a unitary vision of the main subjects in the telecommunications field: signal representation and analysis; signal transmission over communication channels, and information transmission by telecommunications networks. Basic theretical principles will be briefly recalled and the main techniques at the basis of modern devices and systems will be presented.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Aim of the course is to provide basic knowledge of continuous and discrete signal analysis and representation, of telecommunication systems devoted to signal transmission, and of interconnection of systems by means of telecommunication networks.
