They will, therefore, discuss the concepts of normality and pathology, structure and personality urging a critical understanding of the various models of interpretation. It will finally outlined the characteristics, the etiology and psychodynamics of the main diagnostic pictures through the presentation and discussion of several clinical cases useful to deepen the main forms of psychopathology AIMS AND CONTENT TEACHING METHODS I have structured the course as a seminar that empasizes discussion as much as possible. Students are expected to read the assigned materials prior to class and to be prepared to discuss those materials during class. SYLLABUS/CONTENT The course introduces the student to the aspects of mental functioning in various forms of mental disorder. This is not obligatory. ASSESSMENT METHODS There is a written exam (3 questions) and an oral exam (2 questions) Each part is assigned a mark and the sum of these marks is converted into thirtieths to give the final grade.
