OVERVIEW

Teaching for the knowledge of the professional figure of the Podiatrics and its integration into a multidisciplinary team with other health figures.
Methodology of research in podology for systematic bibliography, including through databases, and related periodic updates aimed at critical reading of scientific articles.

 

 

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Learn the latest information on setting up rehabilitation programs in Podology in order to ensure the quality of the rehabilitation process.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course the student will be able to:

  • Apply the basic knowledge of sciences to the specific professional figure needed to make decisions regarding the organization and management of health services provided by personnel with rehabilitation plans in the medical area within healthcare facilities of low, medium or high complexity
  • Apply didactic methodologies in the basic, specialist, complementary and permanent training of the specific professional figure.
  • Care for interpersonal relationships in the work environment, harmonizing the contribution of the various professionals engaged in rehabilitation, avoiding overlapping and optimizing the rehabilitation process

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

  • Perform a systematic bibliographic search, including through databases, and their periodical updates to critically scientific articles;
  • Manage workgroups and apply appropriate strategies to multi-professional integration processes.
  • Collaborate with other professional figures for each initiative aimed at improving the professional activities of the healthcare industry of their own competence
  • Manage relationships in the working environment, harmonizing the contribution of the various professionals engaged in rehabilitation, avoiding overlapping and optimizing the rehabilitation process

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Oral interview / Quizzes / Project work mainly directed to ensure a proper understanding of the theory discussed in the course.

Available 2 examination date in winter (January and February) and 5 in summer (June, July and September).

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The assessment method is explained during the lessons.

The exam consists of an oral interview based on the lectures and on the program, to evaluate knowledge and critical thinking of the student. The student have to prove his competence to critically analyze management issues with a view to Quality.
