Vascular tree anatomy. Principles and applications of vascular isolations. Principles and applications of loco-regional chemotherapy. Principles and applications of hyperthermia.
Knowledge and understanding of indications for loco-regional treatments.
Knowledge and understanding of rational basis, indications and results of hyperthermic antiblastic treatments.
Technical and instrumental optimization of loco-regional effectiveness.
Teaching is divided in 10 hours of lectures and 6 hours of operating theatre attendance.
1) Theoretical interactive lectures
2) Rotating attendance in the operating theatre during the performance of loco-regional treatments
3) Discussion with perfusionists involved in the treatments
4) Voluntary participation in multidisciplinary meetings for the selection of eligible patients for loco-regional treatments
Due to peculiarity of the subject, students will be provided with a selection of articles and thesis about the clinical records of the matter.

Anatomy book already in use are recommended for vascular anatomy

All class schedules are posted on the EasyAcademy portal.
Written exam with multiple choice questions based on all the topics of the course. These quizzes will be designed to test the level of knowledge and skills developed by the student.
The final exam aims at ascertain the correct understanding and knowledge of the topics discussed during the class. The student has to demonstrate adequate knowledge and understanding of indications for loco-regional treatments, of rational basis, indications and results of hyperthermic antiblastic treatments, of technical and instrumental optimization of loco-regional effectiveness.
