|SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR||FIS/01|
The program of the Physics class for Industrial and Management Engineering deals with classical physics. Mechanics is introduced in the first semester and electromagnetism in the second semester
The course provides the basic knowledge of the phenomenology and the mathematical formulation of classical mechanics and electromagnetism laws
We deem the student has achieved the learning objectives when he can solve problems of mechanics and electromagnetism by using the appropriate mathematical formalism.
Classes are taken twice a week and they correspond to five hours a week. Lectures and tutorial classes are not formally separated.
Kinematics of the point body. Dynamics of the point body. Dynamics of point body systems. Dynamics of rigid bodies. Electrostatics. Electrical currents. Electrodynamics. Magnetostatics. Electromagnetic Induction.
“Fisica per Scienze ed Ingegneria” volumi primo e secondo di R. A. Serway e J. W. Jewett, ed. EdiSes.
FABRIZIO FERRO (President)
SANDRA ZAVATARELLI (President Substitute)
All class schedules are posted on the EasyAcademy portal.
Tests will be taken during the course. The final examination is made by a written test and by a complementary oral exam.
Classical physics phenomenology at high school level. Calculus and trigonometry at high school level.
