CODE 67532 ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022 CREDITS 6 cfu anno 2 PEDAGOGIA, PROGETTAZIONE E RICERCA EDUCATIVA 9922 (LM-85) - GENOVA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR M-GGR/01 LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA SEMESTER 1° Semester MODULES Questo insegnamento è un modulo di: HISTORY AND SOCIAL GEOGRAPHY TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The course will provide both the knowledge of the main issues and problems for the interpretation and analysis of socio - spatial dynamics both basic skills to understand the structuring of socio - spatial systems ( relationship between society and space , the latter being as a social product ) AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course aims to provide the methodologies and the theoretical-conceptual apparatus necessary for a spatial interpretation of social phenomena and recent territorial dynamics, focusing on the changes exerted by social actors in the national and international framework. Particular attention is paid to the study of migration and to the phenomenon of asylum seekers and refugees. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Specific objectives are: -to acquire adequate knowledge and effective understanding of the tools for analysing space as a social product. - to enable students to apply the acquired knowledge and to understand and solve problems in different application contexts related to case studies on topics such as: ongoing demographic dynamics, international and national migration, refugees, conflicts and access to resources The learning outcomes will enable the student to develop knowledge and skills suitable for working in diverse social contexts: Specifically, the knowledge acquired will help future education service coordinators to find their way in today's complex multicultural society. TEACHING METHODS Synchronous lessons on TEAMS platform created ad hoc for teaching with projection of slides and with analysis and discussion of case studies, graphs, diagrams, tables, thematic maps. Material uploaded on AULAWEB and also in the "file" window of the TEAMS platform SYLLABUS/CONTENT The first module will analyze the main indicators geo - social - economic and cultural, and will be further discussed those relating to the following themes: development and human development, poverty, gender inequality, migration and integration. Specifically they will consider the OECD indicators , UNDP , World Bank, Transparency International, EU, World Economic Forum. The second module will be presented cases of differences in the roles and the use of space by men and women , as well as inequalities . In particular will be the subject of reflection problems related to the condition of women in sub - Saharan Africa with regard to health , education, employment and politics. the main problems are then analyzed regarding migration (female) and their implications.
