OVERVIEW

The course aims to deepen the knowledge and skills to use basic grammatical and communication structures of the different Spanish speaking areas in specific areas of interest of the “Laurea Magistrale”.

It will develop in the second half of the year twice a week, and provides, in addition to curricular lessons, not mandatory supplementary lessons with a native speaker.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to enhance students’ knowledge of Spanish. It is designed to broaden and build on the linguistic competence they have acquired previously. The lessons and class work are designed to boost all the main language skills (listening, pronunciation, reading, writing, knowledge of vocabulary and grammar), though the main focus will be on speaking. By the end of the course, students will be expected to have reached level B2 of the Common European Framework of Recognition for Languages.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Reflection on language as a historical, social and cultural phenomenon, with special reference to areas of social security, education and training.

Reinforcement of the morphological and communicational issues of the current Spanish (and its American variants)based contrastive compared to Italian.

Enriching of vocabulary.

• Describe someone's character.

• Giving advises. Accepting or rejecting advice.

• Describing a population (its climate and geography).

• Expressing preferences. Showing agreement or disagreement with taste.   (preferir).

   Ordering a meal at a restaurant.

• To congratulate with someone.  Flatter. To thank. Wish someone good luck. Express wishes.

• To obtain advice. Give an opinion. Express agreement or disagreement with something. Arguing for or against an idea.

• Talk about the past. Telling the life of a person. Locate the facts in the past.

• Talk about events and historical facts; locate them in time.

• Write an expository text on a topic of interest.

The program is unique and does not include special versions for "Non attending Students" or for "Third Language Students".

To access the oral exam must have passed the written exam.

We reccomend to attend the workshop held by foreign language assistant to all those who have to take the exam Spanish Language Two.
