    AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The main objective of the course is that of introducing the basic concepts regarding the planning and management of logistic systems. A particular emphasis is given to the formalization of decision problems as mathematical programming problems. In this framework, the student will acquire the capability of selecting the most suitable model for the system, identifying the key decisional variables, and defining an appropraite objective function to optimize. The student is also encouraged to develop  a critical attitude to analyze the obtained results.
