AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Landscape design requires a multidisciplinary ability for reading and understanding the project site. The Laboratory proposes a design path that expresses cultural contents starting from the interpretation of the context at different dimensional levels and in coherence with the transformations that characterized it and with the inhabitants’ needs. The integrated module intends to give to the students a specific support in relation to the analytical and critical study of the landscape context where the project area is located. It will provide useful tools for conscious design, in particular by guiding students in the design of open spaces in connection with the urban, peri-urban and large-scale landscape context, with reference to the most current contemporary examples of landscape design.

TEACHING METHODS

Lectures on the most significant topics and
 integrated REVIEWSof the students' works.
