Nowadays, we can assist to a dramatic increase of possible complex networks applications. They allow computers to communicate with each other across the Internet and enable users to fruitfully collaborate and interact. In this framework, the ability to write our own network programs surely represents an opportunity which must not be underestimated.
Although most modern operating systems provide off-the-shelf programs to exploit network functionalities, implementing an original application needs a good knowledge on how to use the Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
Students are requested to have a good knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack
