AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This course aims to develop students' ability to represent objects through a computer and, particularly, to develop in-depth knowledge of 3D computer graphics. The course also analyzes the possible issues that a designer might encounter while communicating projects through 3D-modeling and rendering software.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course, students will have acquired the ability to perform model and form control with the software's verification tools. Through the total control of the project it is possible to implement modifications and adjustments, often employed in working contexts.

Students will be expected to develop extensive knowledge of the main 3D-modeling commands, and to effectively draw up projects. They will also be expected to be able to design complex surfaces such as hulls and superstructures, develop technical sections, and calculate areas and masses. Lastly, students will be expected to know how to render a project using V-ray (or other compatible software) to create photorealistic indoor and outdoor settings.
