Gynecology is a fundamental part of the physician's preparation, who needs to know about the issues related to reproduction, pregnancy and birth, and female neoplasms.
Aim of this course is gaining knowledge on the physiopathological, clinical and psycho-analytical issues concerning fertility and reproductive health, pregnancy and its evolution, giving birth in its complexity. The student will also have to acquire the ability to recognize the most common summaries of obstetrics and gynecology, focusing on basic preventive and therapeutic measures and identifying the conditions that need the specialist's professional support. The course includes the development of specific clinical skills and includes professional activities.
At the end of the course, the student must have gained knowledge of the physiopathological, clinical and psycho-analytical issues concerning female fertility and reproductive health, pregnancy and its evolution, the event of giving birth in its complexity. They will also have to acquire the ability to recognize the most common contexts of obstetrics and gynecology, focusing on the basic preventive and therapeutic measures and by identifying the conditions that need the professional expertise of the specialist.

clinical cases responsible for bleeding in the third trimester of pregnancy (Placenta Previa, placenta detachment, C.I.D.)
the phenomenology of childbirth, its factors and its clinical evolution
the condition of labor
maternal-fetal well-being monitoring parameters in labor
caesarean sectional indications and the use of vaginal effectiveness procedures
the main causes of post-partum pathology and post-partum disease
conditions of puerperal pathology and its treatment
the main clinical contexts of pelvic pain and the pathophysiological assumptions of endometriotic disease and its clinical manifestations
the clinical and diagnostic problems of uterine fibroma and their treatment options
differential diagnosis between abnormal genital bleeding in different periods of life
the meaning and interpretation of the results of the screening of cervical carcinoma
early diagnosis of major genital neoplasms
the anatomic-functional alterations of the pelvic floor and their health implications
the main types of surgical procedures in gynecology and the related indications
