    OVERVIEW

    The course of General Pathology and Pharmacology for future radiology techniciens is aimed to provide the studentes with the basic knoledge of  General Pathology (study of the causes of the diseases and the possibole consequent pathologic pocesses), of Pharmacology (pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug actions, contrast media use) and of basic Nursery

    General Pathology: Provide the students with the necessary knowledge to understand the mechanisms with which the causes of disease act on the human organism and the main consequences of such acts.

    PREREQUISITES

    Basic knowledge in biology, histology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry.

    Lectures, with any possible dialectic interactions with the students

    SYLLABUS/CONTENT

    General etiology, with particular attention to radiation; main cellular adaptations and damages; inflammation and repair. General oncology

    EXAMS

    EXAM DESCRIPTION

    The Pharmacology exam is a written assy in 60 minutes, with 16 multiple choice questions and 2 exercises with open answer. The student must answer correctly to at least 10 multiple choice questions and 1 exercise. No penalties for missing or mistaken answer.

    The Pharmacology test must be approved in order the student can access the oral examination on General Pathology and Nursery

     

     

    ASSESSMENT METHODS

    The assessment of the correct comprehension of the items of Pharmacology is examined by a series of written questions, modified for each exam session, formulated in different versions for students in close seats the the classroom and, as far as the quizzes are concerned, they contain five possible answers, only one of which is correct. The open questions require the students to do some simple mathematical calculations (proportions, fractions, etc) in order to answer to the questions. Copying and pure memory are discouraged, while the students are examined in their ability to apply their knowledge through reasoning and synthesis.

    After the Pharmacology test, only if it is approved, the students will be examined about at least two chapter of the program of general pathology and nursery. . The knowledge and the definitions of the basic elements must be known in order to consider the examination approved
