AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course intends to present a synthesis of the methods of analysis, interpretation and design of landscape architecture with the aim of promoting the knowledge of different approaches, methods and techniques for the analysis and design of the landscape itself, understood as an eco-system. and as a multi-scalar scenario. This approach will take into consideration the evolution over time of the City-Landscape-Territory association and its relationship today with the development of innovative strategies for a new logic of complexity. The key element of the course will be the public space intended as an active, productive and social space in its relations with the new natural-artificial and multidisciplinary condition of the contemporary city. The course will make use of the collaboration of the Geo-Morfo-Lab

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Landscape design requires a multidisciplinary ability for reading and understanding the project site. The Laboratory proposes a design path that expresses cultural contents starting from the interpretation of the context at different dimensional levels and in coherence with the transformations that have characterized it and with the needs of the inhabitants. The integrated module intends to provide students with specific support in relation to the analytical and critical study of the landscape context in which the project area is located, providing useful tools for conscious design, in particular by guiding students in the design of open spaces in connection with the urban, peri-urban and large-scale landscape context, with reference to the most current contemporary examples of landscape design.

TEACHING METHODS

Lectures on the most significant topics and REVIEWS integrated with the teachers of the students' papers.
