OVERVIEW

The course provides professional preparation for teaching mathematics in secondary school with technologies.

The course provides a theoretical framing first approach to research in mathematics education. The course introduces theoretical tools for the design, implementation and analysis of class activities.

The course provides a theoretical framing for the use of technology in teaching and learning processes.

Students will learn how to plan and carry out teaching and learning sequences with technology.

Students will learn how to critically analyze teaching sequences encompassing technology.

Laboratory-style sessions, with small groups work and discussion

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Theoretical reference to frame the teaching and learning with technology: the theory of semiotic mediation, formative assessment.

Dynamic geometry software for the conceptualization of geometry concepts.

Dynamic geometry software for the conceptualization of functions.

E-learning platforms for formative assessment.
