    OVERVIEW

The class provides essential mathematical tools to address next university classes in tourisn sciences.

    AIMS AND CONTENT

    LEARNING OUTCOMES

The main aim of the course is to provide students with the basic mathematical tools used in other topics studied in the course of study in tourism sciences: - sets, sets of numbers, the concept of function. - Real functions of a real variable: limits, continuity, derivatives and differentials, the study of functions. Real functions of more variables: introduction. - Indefinite integral, definite integral, improper integrals. - Linear algebra: vectors, matrices, linear system, capitalization schemes, amortization and capital formation.

    AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Topics are addressed starting from the basics for students from any secondary school . The approach is aimed at encouraging learning.

    PREREQUISITES

Basic knowledge of mathematics at secondary school level.

    TEACHING METHODS

The teaching takes place with frontal lessons and intends to use innovative learning systems. In particular, the MYLAB platform is used, which allows the student to carry out standard exercises that recur each time with different data and also with error reporting and the related explanation. The platform also allows the teacher to know the percentage of correct answers given by each student, thus monitoring general learning during the course of the programme.

The class material is available on aulaweb.
