The course is focused on Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology and Neurorehabilitation. The main goal is to give the knowledge to the students of the most relevant neurological disorders
The main goal of the course is to offer to the students the knowledge of the physiopathological and clinical manifestations of the more relevant neurological disorders. The student has to learn the clinical aspects of neurological diseases, to arrive to the diagnosis and prognosis and therapy.
Frontal lessons and practical activities with patients concerning neurology, neurosurgery, neuroradiology and rehabilitation.
Presentations of clinical cases in small groups in the Classroom.
First are described the anatomy and physiology of the motor functions, sensations, sensorial system, cognitive functions. Then are described the most important neurological disorders, of inflammatory origin, degenerative diseases, trauma, tumors, infective disturbances. Then the laboratory examens in order to arrive to a diagnosis, especially neuroradiology, are presented and discussed. Finally the most recent advances in the treatment are presented.

An oral evaluation carried out directly by the coordinator of the first and second Neurological Course.
The student reads a clinical history of the patient affected by a neurological disease and discuss and comment with the teacher upon the physiology, the clinical aspects of the disorder, the laboratory examens and the possible therapeutic strategies
